The "Emissions Bank" on this website is a full listing of all the banked credits and allowances now held by the CAC Charitable Trust. It is updated every week and if you have retired any carbon credits through our NETZERO program or made a donation of allowances or credits, you can examine the list to confirm that they have been retired to the CAC Trust on your behalf.

It is now one of the largest “banks” of pollution allowances and emissions credits held by any non-profit organization in the United States.

Each of the allowances and credits represents a permit to pollute that can be traded or sold to companies. However, assigning these credits and permits to the CAC Trust means that they can never be used by anyone to emit the quantities of pollution or greenhouse gases that each represents. The banked permits and allowances represent a real and permanent reduction in harmful emissions.
